¡¡¡¡The Airport Fire Brigade was established in 1991 and transferred from public security system into enterprise-owned full-time fire brigade on January 1, 1996. The fire brigade has experienced “May 8th Crash in 1997, container fire at Fuyong Quay in 2002 and 2004 respectively, packaging box fire at air cargo terminal in 2003 and other fires at large canteen, restaurant of Shenzhen Air, Xixiang Golden-wheel Factory and Sanwei cotton yarn factory. Meanwhile, the fire brigade has successful completed the “comprehensive emergency rescue drilling for Shenzhen Air” in 2001 and 2004 respectively and the “emergency evacuation drilling for terminal A of Shenzhen airport” in 2004.
Responsibilities and safeguarding items of the fire-fighting

        Responsibilities: To take charge of the fire fighting within Shenzhen airport and to assist relevant functional departments of safety management fire fighting.
        Safeguarding items: According to the Standard for Civil Aviation Industry of People's Republic and the Equipment Standard for Fire Station of China Civil Aviation Airport, Shenzhen Airport belongs to grade 4E (the safeguarding level of fire fighting is level 9). It is required that the arrival time for fire fighting of any controlled location shall be within three minutes. Currently, the fire brigade is keeping watch at the north end and south end of the airport respectively, and main safeguarding items are:
        1. To take charge of the fire fighting and rescue when any accident or fire occurs in aircraft at the airport;
        2. To take charge of washing away oil filth and monitoring the safety of fire fighting when oil leakage of any aircraft occurs;
        3. To take charge of the safeguarding of fire fighting safety for special planes;
        4. To take charge of the formulation and establishment of the fire fighting plan for important units of the airport and to organize drilling regularly; 
        5. To take charge of inspection and maintenance of fire fighting equipments at gate positions within the controlled area of the airport.
        6. To take charge of the daily maintenance of fire fighting facilities and rescue equipments.
Achievements gained in recent years
¡ò It won the second prize of close distance water supplying operation at Shenzhen City Fire Fighting Games in 1999

¡ò It was rated as advanced fire fighting unit by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in 2001.

¡ò It was rated as advanced collective in transportation industry by Shenzhen Transportation Bureau in 2001.

¡ò It was rated as advanced training unit of fire fighting post by Guangdong Provincial Public Security Fire Fighting Division in 2001.

¡ò It was rated as excellent performing unit in emergency rescue training exercise by Shenzhen Airport (Group) Co. in 2001

¡ò It was rated as advanced training unit of fire fighting post by Guangdong Provincial Public Security Fire Fighting Division in 2002.

¡ò It was rated as advanced collective in transportation industry by Shenzhen Transportation Bureau in 2002.

¡ò It was rated as advanced fire fighting unit by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in 2003.

¡ò It was rated as advanced training unit of fire fighting post by Guangdong Provincial Public Security Fire Fighting Division in 2003.

¡ò It was rated as advanced fire fighting unit by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government in 2004.

¡ò It was awarded the special safety prize of fire fighting by Shenzhen Airport (Group) Co. in 2004.

¡ò It was rated as advanced full-time team of fighting training by fire fighting detachment of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau in 2005.
