¡¡¡¡Shenzhen Airport International Express Customs Supervision Center co., Ltd, which is jointly funded by Shenzhen Airport Co., Ltd. and Total Logistics (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., was registered to establish on December 18, 2000 and the registered capital is 600 million yuan. The company is mainly responsible for the supervision and management of Shenzhen Airport International Express Customs Supervision Center and providing property inspection, storage, and identification and information services for customs, quarantine and express enterprises. According to the feature of Hong Kong-based of express air transportation, the center is established on the basis of "relatively concentrated, unified supervision" by Shenzhen Customs General Administration in 1999. As an experimental unit, the center was completed and went into operation on March 26, 2001, the formal operation started on June 11, 2001. The center is located between No.1 Terminal of Shenzhen International Airport and the air cargo house and is close to the parking apron. The planning occupying area of the center is 60,000 square meters, and the completed first phase of the project covers an area of 32,400 square meters. Taking advantage of the convenience of air, ocean and land transportation, its logistics network connects with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan regions and foreign countries while directly radiating Mainland. It is an important project of aviation Logistics Park, which is one of the six major logistics parks in Shenzhen.

¡¡¡¡The center is equipped with advanced equipments and facilities and perfect system function. Meanwhile, advanced international management experience is infiltrated into the management mode. Currently, eight major systems have been developed, including: EDI system, automatic sorting system, X-ray machine inspection system, warehouse management system, Access Control System, the CCTV monitoring system, enterprise, vehicle and personnel records management systems and express information management system. By developing and using of these eight systems, the supervision of express mail by joint inspection departments of the port breaks away from traditional paper declaration and manual inspection, a combination of putting emphasis on survey and probing comprehensively is realized, and the scientificalness and strictness of supervision by port units have been enhanced so that the rate of clearance of express mail has been increased greatly.

¡¡¡¡The center always follows the tenet of normative and healthy development. With the joint efforts with stationed units, a good customs environment has been created.

¡¡¡¡While adhering to the guidelines of "administration according to law, holding the pass for our country, serving the economy and promoting development", the Shenzhen Airport Customs has established partnerships with express enterprises through risk management. It advocates a multi-oriented idea of “supervised by government, self-managed by the enterprise and mutually managed with the society”, and the scientificalness and strictness of supervision have been enhanced. By enhancing the training of declarer and other measures, it strives to create a good customs environment and provide high quality services for enterprises.

By fully implemented the “three electronic project”, namely electronic inspection declaration, electronic bill-transferring and electronic declaration, the rapid and healthy development of express mail industry has been greatly improved.
