In the upcoming flight seasons of winter and spring this year, Shenzhen Airport plans to carry out more than 7700 flights per week and is expected to open new international passenger routes from Shenzhen to Jeju, Batam, and other places. A number of domestic and international routes will be increased to provide more travel options for citizens in Shenzhen and surrounding areas.

So far this year, airlines have been optimistic about Shenzhen's air travel market and increased their investment in Shenzhen's transportation capacity as Shenzhen ushered in the great opportunities of developing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a leading model air travel area in Shenzhen. In the coming winter and spring flight seasons, Shenzhen Airport will add flights from foreign airlines such as Air Busan, Vietnam Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air, Royal Air Philippines, PT Wings Abadi Airlines, and Himalaya Airlines. All airlines will open and densify a number of domestic and international passenger routes at Shenzhen Airport, with an average planned daily flight volume of more than 1100.

In new flight seasons, Shenzhen Airport is expected to open new international passenger routes to Jeju, Batam, Penang, Sapporo, Clark, and Kalibo, and consolidate international passenger routes from Shenzhen to Singapore, Osaka, Phuket, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Manila, Jakarta, Seoul Airport (also known as Incheon International Airport), Narita International Airport (Tokyo), Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, and Yangon. Statistics show that Shenzhen Airport will reach 1052 international and regional passenger flights per week in the flight seasons of winter and spring, indicating a double-digit year-on-year growth rate. Passengers will have more choices and more convenience to fly around the world from Shenzhen.

Airlines plan to open new domestic passenger routes from Shenzhen to Daxing (Beijing), Xishuangbanna, Lincang, Anqing, Bazhong, Changsha, Kaili, and Beihai. Air China, China Southern Airlines, United Airlines, and other airlines will fly the Shenzhen-Daxing (Beijing) route. In view of its large proportion of business passengers, Shenzhen Airport will continue to optimize the schedules of "air express" between Shenzhen and other cities and airports, such as Beijing, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Wuxi, Hefei, and Xi'an. The daily average number of flights from Shenzhen Airport to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport will reach 84, which is the busiest business route in China. The daily average number of flights from Shenzhen Airport to Beijing (Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Daxing International Airport) will reach 80.

During new flight seasons, airlines will also increase their efforts to launch wide-body aircraft at Shenzhen Airport. China Southern Airlines will put Airbus A380s into operation on the route from Shenzhen to Beijing (Capital Airport), with one round trip every day. The operation of Airbus A380s at Shenzhen Airport signifies that Shenzhen Airport has the civil aviation capabilities for the support of any aircrafts. It will play an important role in improving the influence of Shenzhen Airport as an international aviation hub, strengthening the economic, trade, personnel, and material exchange between cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region and cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. It will promote the economic and societal development of Shenzhen and its development into a leading model for others.
